ABOUT US

GET TO KNOW THE OWNERS

Lauren & Chris

"Thank you for visiting us at The Fountain. Both myself and my husband grew up in the community and went to school in Clinton. The idea of owning a "soda shop" has been something that's been on my mind since I was a kid. I come from a family of entrepreneurs. I like to refer to this as being both a blessing and a curse... My grandparents owned Crossman Variety on "The Acre" having a variety of groceries, and penny candy themselves. They later owned a restaurant with my aunt, Sus-Anna's at the bottom of Greeley Hill where I grew up waiting tables and helping in the kitchen. Learning from the best, I helped my grandmother bake cakes by the dozen and cookies by the triple dozen. Continuing through the generations, my dad has owned a construction company for 40 years, D.M. Crossman & Son, Inc. Then, trickling down to me- I owned a painting company, REVIVE Painting & Finishing for 7 years. I poured my skills in carpentry and renovation plus my love of color into these two store fronts. It's a blessing to have all this knowledge infront of me but a little bit of a curse that my brain can never take a break! Just ask my husband. I'm always researching products and sourcing sweets that customers may love. And the decor is never ending. The lollipop props- gotta have those!

We knew that starting this idea off in our hometown was the best place to be. The way that this community rallies around small business is second to none. We cannot thank you enough for your support as we get off the ground. We hope to continue to make your days a little sweeter here at The Fountain!"

Hope to See you Soon!
